The Post of Hall in Tyrol operates a fully automated letter sorting plant with a length of nearly 50m. This facility has to be mounted on a completely stable underground to ensure a troublefree function. Due to construction structural subsidence occurring a monitoring and control system should promptly depict additional deformations and should show its tendencies.
For this purpose precision monitoring points as well as inclination sensors were installed in the building. In specified periods the precision monitoring points were measured and the data processed. As a result subsidences with an accuracy of +/- 1mm could be measured.
The inclination sensors surveyed the floor plate and continuously delivered the data to a field notebook. The software installed controls the inclination sensors and saved all its measuring data. As required the data could be processed and prepared in a list format.
